Actinic Keratoses

Actinic Keratoses (AKs) are dry, scaly, rough-textured lesions that form within the outermost layers of the skin as a result of long-term exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. These lesions can appear flesh colored or have more of an erythematous (red) look. It is very important to have these lesions monitored and treated by a health care provider. AKs may develop into skin cancers such as squamous cell carcinoma. At Altaire Clinic, we offer various options to treat these potentially dangerous lesions.
