DiVa™ Frequently Asked Questions

How long does diVa take?

The actual laser treatment only takes 3-4 minutes. Plan on being at Altaire for 1 hour to ensure adequate time to complete paperwork, numb for the procedure, and answer any questions you may have.

What should I expect after my treatment?

Post care is simple. You are not able to put anything inside of the vagina for 48 hours. Dr. Tamra does not want you to soak in a tub for 48 hours. You will experience some discharge for up to a few days after your treatment. There also may be some soreness within the vaginal vault that typically resolves within a week. Otherwise, you may return to your normal activity following your treatment.

How many treatments do I need?

Most women need 1-3 treatments to achieve desired results. This is unique to each person and will be discussed at the consult. The recommendation is to do a diVa treatment once per year to help maintain results long term.

Does this help with orgasm?

Sexual health is multi-factoral. This procedure will help restore the vaginal health of the tissue, create nerve re-innervation, and helps with lubrication. The Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Feminine Shot is specifically designed to help optimize sexual response with orgasm.

Will my husband be able to tell a difference?

Altaire recommends that you get this treatment for yourself. This is not a procedure that a woman should do for someone else. However, this is a common question and yes, there will be some tightening noted during the treatments. Your partner may notice more natural lubrication and a stronger, tighter vaginal canal.Altaire recommends that you get this treatment for yourself.
